HYBRID VEHICLE
CONFERENCE 2006

The purpose of this event was to bring together Academia, Industry and Government to consider all of the issues associated with Hybrid Vehicles that will have to be addressed to ensure their future success.

This involved political, economic, social, technological and legislative considerations to ensure that the impact of the technology was fully understood.

This event promoted the sharing of knowledge from a wide range of stakeholders through dissemination and networking to better understand each other's perspective. It dealt with passenger, commercial, motorsport and military vehicle applications, both hybrid and fuel cell.

The event also provided an opportunity for companies to exhibit their products and services.

We were delighted to have two eminent keynote speakers address the delegates to the conference - Mr. Nick Paul, Chairman of Advantage West Midlands, and Mr. Malcolm Fendick, Head of Cleaner Fuels and Vehicles Division, Department of Transport.

From 7.30 till 11 on the evening of the 12th December a gala dinner was held at Warwick Castle.

Warwick Castle, located in the county town of Warwickshire, England is steeped in history. About 50 delegates took part in the event, which offered an entertaining evening of medieval fayre and the change to network in an informal environment.
